Awesome Archangel
About the Artist
I saw my grandfather have half of his body paralyzed by a stroke in the middle of his life, and he continued to strive and provide for our family. He drove with one hand using a knob on the wheel. He followed my parents to America after I was about 12 or 13 years old. My parents were the first to come to America. Grandpa worked for years so he could continue to petition my uncles and aunts to join us in America so they would have better opportunities. Initially I was scared of seeing him cause his hand was frozen like he was gripping really hard like a tiger claw. But I learned to adore his tenacity to never give up even though he had to use a cane to get around, he did not go to a wheelchair until the last few years of his life. I sat by his bedside and prayed with him in the hospital before he passed. My dad also had a triple bypass a few years ago. We were scared and didn't know if he would survive. But the doctors and god worked a miracle and he now is able to play golf a couple times a week, and even walks the course instead of using the electric cart. So eventually started taking annual physicals to monitor my cholesterol, and through research into nutrition I have learned to avoid foods high in saturated fat, and learned to temper my appetite so if I do eat those, it is only a small portion just to taste it, because of our family history. History is the best shield for the future if you learn from the mistakes of the past. As for music ministry, it is my dream to write and share songs that will be used at mass and worship to invite people who are not sure of their faith, or do not know the story of Jesus Christ yet. So that they will hear about the love of God, and the love of neighbor as they love themselves and will have the opportunity to choose a life that brings them and their family closer to god. I believe music ministry and songwriting and storytelling is my calling and gift.

to heavenbound: thanks so much for your prayers and support.
to elizabethhayford: is your father still alive? I am more than happy to share the story of my grandfather's stroke, paralysis and perseverance, and my dad's surgery especially cause he is stronger then ever now retired in his 60s and on the golf course a couple times a week now. I feel blessed to know my family history so I can make nutrition and exercise choices to help me avoid a stroke in the future.
This song is close to my heart as my father had a heart attack when he was still fairly young, I know how you feel. Thank you for sharing your feelings and talents.
you are wonderful and talented in Jesus name. I pray that the Lord bless your life in a way that only he can. I wish you all the luck in this contest. God Bless
the shirt says "GK1mb" and it is referring to the gathering of "Gawad Kalings 1 million bayani"
In Tagalog "Gawad Kalinga" translates to giving care, and "bayani" translates to hero
So basically it is a call to find 1 million heroes to give care to people in need, experiencing poverty, hunger, homelessness. We are searching for heroes to give of their time and talents to help build homes, educate, and empower families to be able to have shelter, food, and a career or business of their own to support and educate their family and children.
Awesome! May your faith carry you thru difficult times and challenges you may encounter in life.
